If there are topics you are interested in, but do not see as part of the topic listing, please let me know. It's possible I've got it somewhere around here, and haven't uploaded it yet to the server!

This month's calendar:

Upcoming Events and Activities

On this page will be links to various training, in-service or special activity events. Please keep me informed if you would like to have your activity posted here.

I'm always interested in attending or participating in various youth agency program events, in-services and training courses. While my "experience" and expertise lies in the programs of the Boy Scouts of America, my graduate training also provides me with a broad coverage of various issues and techniques with regard to outdoor education, recreation administration, camp development and training and of course, park utilization. My undergraduate training provides me with a broad coverage of utilizing what we used to call "mass media" (television, radio, print, and now web-based) in support of various youth agency activities or events.

Interested in having me "tag along" for your next really big show or in-service? Make sure that it's okay with your professional team (some locations don't want "outsiders" telling or coaching them on how things can or should be done; after all, that's why you and other Scouters hired them!!), and read the information I've provided with regard to having me come to your locale. Then, click on the link provided and contact Jessica and let her know the details. That's it.

Here's a listing of upcoming activities and events (the ones with the oval and "I'm On My Way!" are those events I've been asked to attend or participate within!)

Subject: Troop 79, Somerset, KY, 75th Anniversary
From: Jay Prather
Date: 2/11/99

On March 13, 1999, Troop 79 of Somerset, Kentucky, will celebrate the 75th Anniversay of it's charter, issued to the First Christian Church in 1924, three years after the troop first began meeting. Since that time, Troop 79 has produced over 165 Eagle Scouts and many successful men. The troop has been meeting continuously since 1921.

A 75th Anniversary banquet and reunion will be held at the church on that day. Any former scouts, scouters, or friends of the troop who would like more information may contact Jay Prather Happy scouting!

Give me some feedback as to the new format and look of Leaders' Online!
